The Missouri/Illinois Dodge Dealers and SS Promotions are proud to present the 26th Annual Monster-Mopar Weekend, the Midwest’s largest all Mopar event. Come and join the celebration of our 26th anniversary on September 10th, 11th, & 12th, 2010 at Gateway International Raceway with three days of family fun featuring drag racing in 7 pro classes and more than $50,000 in prize money – the largest payout in the nation for an all Mopar event.*
Enter your vehicle in or just browse the classic and custom car and truck show with over 55 classes; shop the Manufacturers’ Midway; get those needed parts at the swap meet; or buy a car in the car corral.
Special attractions include:
• The Mopar Police Vehicle Display and K-9 demonstration
• The Aerocar Reunion featuring the largest gathering of Dodge Daytonas and Plymouth Superbirds in the world with special guest Taladegas and Cyclones. These vehicles will take laps around Gateway’s oval track
See one of the only two working 1963 Chrysler Turbine vehicles in existence on loan from the St. Louis County

Oval Track
Gateway's 1.25-mile lighted oval hosts the world's best NASCAR Craftsman Truck and NASCAR Busch Series, as well as popular weekly racing programs. A state-of-the-art lighting system makes for a spectacular racing venue in the cooler, more comfortable evening hours. Inside this track is where you find the Show Cars, Swap Meet and Car Corral. There are two tunnels that can get you to the drag racing side of things.

Drag Strip
The NHRA'S 300-mph classes like Top Fuel, Funny Cars - and loads of weekly racing - highlight Gateway's drag racing facility. You can watch all the ground-pounding action from the comfort of a grandstand seat or the more-comfortable Nitro seating. Gateway's fast quarter-mile attracts the cream of the NHRA's drivers, and also features weekly local drag racing. This is where the drag racers will pit and run. The pit area on the far side of staging lanes and the first row to the near side of the staging lanes are reserved for the 70+ Nostalgia Super Stock Racers -- as they maintain their own race sessions. |
